Question #1: How does Laurie know all the girls names and which girl is which?
Question #2: Why does Marmee think Mr. Laurence does not like Laurie to play music?

Question #5: Do you think there is anything symbolic of Jo scrapping the mud from her boots as she left the school house?

Q4:It was so bad for Amy because she had to get rid of the pickled limes. ( eww!)

Q1: He met Meg and Jo, they told him about thier sisters and he sees which girl answers when Jo calls call them. He watches them through thier open window.
Q2:Laurie's mother was a musician and Mr. Laurence didn't like her because she traveled so much with her son.
Q3:Because she reminds him of her daughter who died and she too likes to play piano.
Q4:She was wacked with a ruler so many times and her mother didn't think a lady should be hit like that.
Q5:she was making a point to the teacher, that he shouldn't be wacking girls hands with a ruler.
Q6:She learned she shouldn't have been selfish and shouldn't have taken the candy to school.
#1-Because he sees and hears them calling each other.#2-Because his mother used it and she died,and married against Mr.Lawrences wishes.#3-He put music on the piano and Laurie did not let anyone disturb her.#4-She was used to being spoiled/petted and was "Teachers pet".#5-Yes,she's disgusted with the school.#6-A lesson on humility.
